previously VBS leader; previously chime choir; currently, personnel
committee; nominating committee; new members committee; confirmation
class teacher

Fun or Special Memories of Hokey Pres:
Christmas caroling and Thanksgiving dinner served at the church with
Danny McNeill and volunteers. Being able to watch the children grow
up from the time they enter Sunday school until they are confirmed.
(It's hard to believe how much older they get but we adults don't!)

How Eileen found Hokey Pres:
For years I had been driving past the little white church on Front
Street and loved the stately look of the little church. I had grown
up in a very, very large church and never felt a connection to the
people or the church. I felt drawn to wanting to belong to a smaller
congregation. I had attended a few services with my mother and
father-in-law, Ev and Ann Tremblay and loved the connectedness of the
people. After my father-in-law passed away I started to attend with
my mother-in-law, mostly to offer my support. I fell in love with
the people and the history of the church. I especially love the
Presbyterian concept of self governance. It has been a blessing to
have been welcomed into this congregation.

Eileen's Family:
Married to Bill Tremblay for 22 years, he's the youngest of the first
group of Tremblay children. Son Andrew, 26 years old, has been
playing trumpet since 4th grade, graduated from Whitehall High
School, New School University with a B.A. in music and is attending
UMass. Amherst for a graduate degree in Music Arranging and
Composition.

Have you contributed your "per-capita" for 2008?

Our per-capita apportionment for 2007 is $21.00
What is "per-capita"? Nationwide, every Presbyterian church is required to pay a certain amount for each active member on its rolls. This money goes to support the work and ministry of our church throughout the country.

Blue per-capita envelopes are included in your offering envelope boxes.
Thank you for your support.
