Church Mission Statement
We, the
members of the First Presbyterian Church of Hokendauqua, are Christians
who both trust and obey Jesus Christ. As such, we carry on His mission
in the world today and intend to:
- Join
together for worship, praise, and thanksgiving in such ways and
at such times as to glorify God's name.
- Provide
programs and services to allow all members to participate in accordance
with their membership vows.
- Prepare
and conduct an education program that helps persons of all ages
to increase their knowledge and understanding of faith in Jesus
Christ.
- Relate
to our community and world to show that we care by reaching out
to alleviate human need.
- Say
and do those things which will let everyone know that Jesus Christ
is a personal Savior and that being part of the Christian Community
is Good News.
- Provide
and maintain church facilities, develop human assets, and financial
resources that will help us to accomplish our mission.
